I've been looking at the alternative of using a NAS such as Synology.
Would this be preferable to what we've discussed?
I guess it would mean both Pro Tools computers would be accessing...

Thanks for all that.

Just to be clear, we're not running the RAID as a SAN or NAS. The RAID is a volume attached to Production 2 (iMac) via Thunderbolt. Is what you're suggesting still applicable?...

All our systems are non-HD unfortunately. We were just about to purchase CPTK for Disk Cache on Production 1 but as far as I understand that's not possible anymore.

A HD|Native card is a good start but you still need I/O and control surface to replace the 002/3.
The MC Control/Mix looks awesome and I kinda do like the more...

We're a small production house for Radio, TV & Corporate work and we need HD software functionality, HD sound quality and control surface without a stack of I/O.

A HD 004 maybe?

Ah.

I'm using the 003 (control surface) and it's getting jealous cause I've been checking out the Artist Control. Would be very nice if Avid integrated an interface into that. Oooh yeah baby!...
