Re: Real-Time Volume Change When Doing Trim Automation?

Yup, so that's what I figured you meant. I guess the answer to my question in regards to what parameter is the one that makes it static instead of dynamic is the "write-to-selection" parameter then....

Re: Real-Time Volume Change When Doing Trim Automation?

Oh, it creates a STATIC change. Well ok then, nevermind. Great! I may have missed it but what's the parameter which makes it static? I'd like to know how to be able to do that with any automation...

Re: Real-Time Volume Change When Doing Trim Automation?

Wow, well thank you. I understood all that. This unfortunately also answers my other question which is that it involved writing automation rather than make quick adjustments in the edit window. ...

Re: Predefined Inserts on Every Newly Created Track?

So perhaps the following may be a bit much, but in a similar way, maybe the following might be possible. Nothing immediately comes to my mind but would there be a similar way of doing something like...

Re: Real-Time Volume Change When Doing Trim Automation?

Oh, I'm sorry. I overlooked the question. Yes, I do have HD. I also didn't realize its relevance but now I realize how it might be.

So, a few follow ups to that. How do you do "touch-trim"...

Re: Predefined Inserts on Every Newly Created Track?

Very cool. Thank you! I was clearly searching with the wrong things when looking for this since I guess I wasn't expecting the potential solution to be of this nature. Thanks again!

Re: Real-Time Volume Change When Doing Trim Automation?

Sorry, I had a bit of a hard time understanding your question - a bit of a run-on there. Umm, but if this clarifies things, I'm talking about the adjusting the automation for the volume trim line...

Predefined Inserts on Every Newly Created Track?

So I obviously know you can make a template, but with any newly imported/created tracks, to that specific track, your template is obviously no longer relevant. The only thing which can really be...

Real-Time Volume Change When Doing Trim Automation?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew whether there was a way to make it so that during playback when using your mouse to automate trim, you could make it so that the changes are heard as you're...

Re: "recording" or making a "tempo track" using tap tempo

That's a good suggestion, but you think you can maybe expound on that a little bit? I know this was a while ago but I've been thinking about this and was wondering why it can't literally just record...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Well I might have over-exaggerated a bit, and I actually meant worst compared to other general software I've used, not necessarily my opinion of it being the worst DAW that exists. There absolutely...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Listen, thanks for all the time you put into making this response, really. I appreciate the fact that you have enough respect to do so and understand what it means to have it. I responded in...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

So Pro Tools is at its prime then and is the ultimate DAW in existence? What a fraudulent thing to say. Despite having put your chest forward, it sounds like completely servility to the construct...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Good morning to you too!

You maintain a perfectly respectable position on the matter and it certainly doesn't imply in your case the notion of narrow-mindedness. I can respect the fact that...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Thanks for the response.

Well, I slightly addressed this point before but only in the sense that whatever the argument was, even if it were true, it shouldn't be imposed. It's certainly something...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Oh cool, I'm starting to get my own conspiracy theories! Thanks you guys; it's an honor!

By the way, I don't know who these other people you're talking about are, but I find it incredible that...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Oh man, what you would be like if you had power. You have come here not only marking yourself an instant enemy of mine, but you're quickly earning a title I would forever argue as the primary enemy...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Yes, as if I enjoy it... I actually stated that this is a situation where debate is in fact inane in the way that you mention it.

Well, if you get it, that's good for you. But clearly you can...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Well, it's a well known fact the likeliness of Avid ever getting something done. No reason to make the effort even more futile though, lol. At this point, the momentum I had for pushing this in the...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

1) The second plugin needs to be first and needs to be on every track but it can't go before a virtual instrument. That's two tracks gone everywhere.
2) Similar in concept for the other plugins, a...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Looks like my hand has been forced. Based on how I've seen other threads in the past of a similar nature back when there was only 5 and STILL this happened, I didn't expect much else. I thought...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Yes, I stand by that statement. I don't think you understand all of its implications because it really isn't at all self-undermining.

I'd like to know though, what is it that I should listen to...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

Like I said; we're done. My purpose has never been to make friends by saying things people want to hear. It's up to you what side of the argument you want to be on and it's furthermore a reflection...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

It's not a difference of opinion that I have a problem with. The difference of opinion so far was about whether or not people cared. So far, nobody has made an argument against the point for having...

Re: Unlimited inserts?.. (or that of anything else)

This is beginning to seem futile XD. You can't just isolate one sentence that appeals to you and join in on the party. That's no way to argue (and by argue I don't mean anything bad).

I will...
