Re: Pro Tool 7.2 with older MIX TDM system

Ease of use obviously not a factor. I hope you already know nuendo and not pro tools.

I'd rather use a mix system on 5.1 than HD.

Re: Protools MIX & Tiger

Yeah, like not being able to run mix in 10.4.x. Pro Tools 6.4 only works in 10.3. I challenge you to get it working in 10.4 and let me know how you did it.

Re: Beat Det. conform value confused by grid setti

were notes conforming to 1/4's or 1/8's? because beats you have identified when you set the beat marker will conform too.

Quicktime Pro is still useful and worth every penny. You can even use Quicktime to capture video now as well as capture audio using your digi hardware. Quicktime Pro is a neccesity for too many...

Re: The most stable version of PT

All I know is I use 5.1 on OS9.1 and aside from a few missing features I would not trade the responsiveness of my system for anythign running on OSX, yet. As a machead for over 15 years I am ashamed...

Re: The most stable version of PT

I think all those variants of 5.1 were damned good but it has less to do with the app than it does the OS. OS9 was simply the pinacle of the simplicity and power of computing in one.

Re: Pro tools on two macs?

Yup, i think that's key... to have a master clock and not MTC alone and maybe that's a given.

Re: Pro tools on two macs?

Exactly.. so using two macs sync'd via MTC for AUDIO is not good enough. i mean if we're complaining about ADC and going to extremes to flip waveforms into phase and aligning oh's to snares and...

Re: presonus tube pre amp \"tube\"

I agree, some of the cheaper pre-amps are good but it's not because of the tube in most cases. Anyone remember those horrendous DBX units? they made one with a spdif a/d and when i had a digi001 I...

Re: presonus tube pre amp \"tube\"

Are you looking for a different color glow? I don't think you'll get much more milage out of those cheap tube pre-amps.

Re: How Do I Format an External Hard Drive?

Re: Undelete

I would try an OS9 utility and see what it see's if you have one.
