Re: Creating a good kick drum sound (punchy)

Re: Best Plugs from the Upgrade PLUS offer ?
After much research, I grabbed Pultek and Smack. Most people didn't like Rude and the general consensis was DINR is not quite there yet, at least compared to X-Noise. Synchronic just wasn't for me...

Re: Newbie question on bouncing to disk
Well, I already own it for music recording and it would be nice to use the audio suite to compress and de-ess to vocals. I guess I am just curious why PT must mixdown in real time, where Cubase, etc...

Newbie question on bouncing to disk
PT is the only recording software I have used that bounces to disk in realtime. Most others are able to bounce a, say, 5 minute track in under a minute. What's the reason PT does it realtime? Is...

Re: External Vs Internal HDD\'s....er, again.
You don't want to run anything on the same physical hard drive as your OS is installed on. Reason being, if you are in the middle of recording a track and the OS decides it needs to look a file from...

Re: PT7 disable anti-aliasing on fonts?
Nvidia GeForce 6800GT. Yup latest drivers. It looks like Digi forces ClearType in their code. I have no other applications that do that.

PT7 disable anti-aliasing on fonts?
It looks like Digi forces Cleartype fonts in PT7 whether your system is set up for them or not. That's fine and all, but they REALLY kill my eyes on a CRT. I don't see any way to disable it from...

Re: MBox: \"Computer Buzz\" when monitoring playback
Sounds like a radio interference issue. Are you routing USB cables through your PC for a front port? When I plug my Mbox into the front USB port of my PC it does the same thing because the internal...

Re: External Vs Internal HDD\'s....er, again.
The fastest external drive is always going to be slower than an internal drive. If your Firewire drive runs at 7200RPM and your internal is rated the same, the internal is probably going to be...
