Creating an old 78rpm sound

Hi All,
I want to take a piece of music and run a filter or something to make it sound like an old scratchy 78 rpm record. Any suggestions?

OT: Looking for app that will change speed with out changing pitch

I'm tryign to learn some guitar parts. I'm looking for an app for Mac that will allow me to change speed with out changing pitch on a tune. Does ProTools allow that?

I use 002R with a G5 and PTLE8. The 002R needs to be on for a few seconds before I launch PTLE. Otherwise it's always recognized.

The last thing I tried - I swapped out the firewire cable and now it works! Go figure. I've been using that cable all along and never touched it. Hhhmmm . . . Thanks for all the suggestions folks!

No plugins other than what comes with PTLE8. I don't have any demos installed either.

I have a 4 track file set up with no plugins and it will record or play for a couple of minutes before it...

When I select the digi002 in the sound system prefs I get the following messages:

The selected device has no output controls.
The selected device has no input controls.

Is there a way to setup my Digi002 to use an an audio input device so I can us it outside ProTools just so I can play along with an MP3 or iTunes?

PTLE8 will hang then quit either while I'm recording or just playing back a session. I use less than 8 tracks with no plugins. I have a G5 with 6 gig RAM using OSX 10.5.5 My buffer is set to 512.

After read the posts, I decided to upgrade. Unfortunately the store isn't working so well. Its take 5 minutes each to go from screen to screen. By the time I get to check out the whole thing times...
