Uninstalling PTle 6.4

I am upgrading from Digi001 PTle 6.4 to a Digi003 system (Mac OS). How does one remove PTle 6.4? There is no "uninstall" app for that one.

Thanks.

Re: Mackie Onyx firewire option?

Yeah, it makes no sense. If Digi will let me connect a 3rd party expansion box to the optical port, why not to the firewire port? What's it to...

I know that the Digi003 will regognize external I/O boxes via ADAT optical interface. I've been using the Alesis AI-3 with my 001 for years in this way. But will the 003...

What about my old plug-ins?

Hi:

I recently upgraded my old Digi001/PTle 5 system with the final 6.4 upgrade. My plug-ins didn't make the transition, so when I open a session that was created in PTle 5.x, those plug-ins are...

Upgrades for 001?

Does Digi no longer offer a PTle 6 upgrade for 001 users? I can't seem to find one despite this reference in the FAQ:

Yes, I believe you're right about them being the same pentode pre as in the PA-1/2 boxes. I have a couple of their other toys which have been very reliable and usable over the years.

Re: adat optical i/o - analog converters

If you're saying that mid-priced pre's are not all that, and better to make do with cheapies until you can afford the high-end stuff, I think you may have a point. Some of the mid-priced gear out...

Re: Avoid POWERLOGIX upgrades...they SUCK

Phrazer

Anybody using Bitheadz Phrazer 2 (or the LE version) with PTle? Comments? Experiences?

I've used Acid Pro for Windows--how much alike or otherwise are the two?

Thanks - Don Z

Re: Recording more then 8 Tracks with 001

I had no problems recording 16 tracks simultaneously on a 500MHz Sawtooth G4, but I had to install a processor upgrade (Giga Desgigns G-Cerlerator 1.4GHz) to up my plug-in headroom. You should have...

Re: adat optical i/o - analog converters

I have the Alesis AI-3, which works splendidly and can be had for $300 (I think that's what I paid). The converters are on par with the 001's. No problems of any kind.

Re: $20,000 BUDGET

Keep in mind that, if you're going to be recording bands, you will need an outboard mixer for headphone mixes. Otherwise, you'll have that nasty latency "echo" that comes with host-based systems. I...

My 16-track reel-to-reel machine sits in...

Focusrite/Blue bundles

Hey, have the Focusrite/Blue bundles begun shipping yet? I've been seeing the ads for a couple of months, but no dealers seem to have them in stock yet.

Thanks - Don Z.
