Re: Registry Error: please ensure this product has been installed correctly

UPDATE: it was IK Multimedia Amplitude 3. That was several versions ago, 4 and 5 are still in the folder but removing v.3 took away the error!

Re: Registry Error: please ensure this product has been installed correctly

This is great info, if a little daunting. I haven't had to do that level of surgery for many, many years (thankfully). I'll try trashing prefs and all that... thanks a lot señor.

Re: Registry Error: please ensure this product has been installed correctly

Compatibility should not be a problem. Monterey 12.7 is listed as OK with PT 2024.3.1.

At least the software starts up and runs normally, but it's unsettling to get this error every single time.

Is there a way to NEVER import i/o from a session AGAIN?

After 25 years of using PT, I still have yet to see ONE instance where I want to see a client's I/O in a session when I open it up for the first time. Where I say 'wow, I'm so glad I have some...

Instrument Tracks don't receive MIDI (but MIDI tracks do)

I'v had this problem so long I actually stopped using Instrument tracks altogether. I create an Instrument track and there's no MIDI input, but if I create a MIDI track it works perfectly. I would...

Reason sees Mbox 2 Pro... but PT 10 doesn't??

This is crazy: Mbox is available in other programs like Reason and Live, but not in PT. This was not an issue in PT 8.

In PT 10 I can only use the built-in Mac output!

Does it have somethng to...

Mbox 2 Pro lights up but doesn't show in PT

My Mbox 2 Pro works with iTunes, works with Safari, works with Reason.
Ironically, it is nowhere to be seen in Pro Tools.

??????????????????????????

And yes, I installed the new driver.

Re: Apogee JAM and PT9?

Apogee sent me a document with some things that needed to be configured in Aggregate i/o. It works now. Kinda strange.

Apogee JAM and PT9?

I'm not seeing my Apogee Jam on the input list, but it shows up in Reason, Live etc. Anyone know why?

Re: Is my Mbox 2 Pro DEAD?

OK, tried it with no other Firewire devices connected. Still the same.

I really think the Mbox is busted. I can't get a single sound out of it - iTunes, nothing.

Re: Is my Mbox 2 Pro DEAD?

There is no chaining going on. The drive is on one FW jack and the Mbox is on the other.

Is my Mbox 2 Pro DEAD?

I'm dead in the water, client waiting!
Here are the basics:

(1.) Mbox lights are on. The computer sees the hardware. No trouble opening PT. But pressing Play instantly gives me (-6085) on a new,...

High-pitched whine in right speaker!

It happens only on the Mbox 2 Pro, and with 2 different computers, different speakers hooked up etc. It's a soft, high high sound that's there even with Mbox volume turned off. If I wait it out, it...

Core Audio DRAMA

Hey all, just wondering if anyone's had this happen:

Audio programs seem to be fighting over the Mbox/Core Audio. If I have iTunes on, Safari won't produce audio or Reason, Live etc. won't play....

Re: High-Pitched whine from MBox2 1/4" outs

My brand-new Mbox 2 Pro (Firewire) is also doing this - but only on the right output. If I plug the same speaker into the left output of the M2Pro, it's dead quiet.

I did all this:
(1.) Using...

Re: Consensus on Phase Accuracy of Elastic Audio and Multiple Tracks

Wow, I tried it and it's NOT the case. It put markers on each track, regardless of the group. So the edit points are different on EACH TRACK, and the phase went to hell instantly. For those of you...

Re: Consensus on Phase Accuracy of Elastic Audio and Multiple Tracks

So... applying EA to multiple drum tracks in PT8 right now. The manual is a bit thin on this subject, so please help me get this right:

(1.) Group the tracks, and then the edits you do on one of...

Pro Tools hangs during Startup

Just wondering if anyone's had this happen? I've reinstalled twice, trashed prefs, repaired permissions and all that, but it keeps happening. I never get further than "DigiRewire.dpm" or "chorus.dpm"...

Re: Any legit reason to go with the new MacBook Pro?

I ended up getting a brand new "old" dual 2.4 today... not as sexy as buying the latest & greatest, but this is a nice rig. Lots of interesting stuff in this thread! Thanks y'all.

Re: Any legit reason to go with the new MacBook Pro?

A return MBP at the Apple store upgraded to a 2.6 processor and a 7200 rpm drive is $1,899. Doing the same to the new one (up to 2.8), you would spend another grand.

The last generation MBPs are going for pretty cheap... I'm just wondering if there's any real advantage to getting the brand new one, other than the fact that if you order it from Apple online you...
