HD Native Thunderbolt - Headphone Jack Left Side only with 5.1 output?

So I just updated my edit room to 5.1 with the HD Omni interface, and it's all fantastic.... except that when I set my Main Output to 5.1 in the Hardware settings of the Omni, the HD Native...

Re: iMac Pro Customization Options - Thoughts?

I can't believe this worked... it's like magic. Night and day difference - holy crap. Avid CS got back to me and said the same thing, right after I read your post.

All I had to do was disable...

Re: Missing Audio Files in Session

In the clip list on the right side of the screen, click Show>Full Path

Then do Select>Offline and you can see where it’s looking for those offline files. Maybe they’re still there and you can...

Re: iMac Pro Customization Options - Thoughts?

Got my iMac Pro 8 core up and running yesterday, and I've been putting it through the paces all day today.

This thing is a beast in every way, but one thing is really bugging me.

I'm still...

Got my 8 core base model iMac Pro yesterday, and I've been putting PT HD Native through the ringer for the last few hours...

Boot time is definitely a little sluggish... but not that much of an...

Re: iMac Pro Customization Options - Thoughts?

Anybody else hands on with it yet? Would love to hear about how snappy the GUI is - zooming/scrolling, meters etc.

Are the fans audible under sustained load?

Any random errors/hiccups? Video...

Re: iMac Pro Customization Options - Thoughts?

Thanks, I think I’ll do a clean install of everything just to be safe and because I have the time. I do have a bootable carbon copy backup of my boot drive, so I may give that a shot first just to...

Re: iMac Pro Customization Options - Thoughts?

Congrats! How did you do the migration, if you don’t mind me asking?

Going to be upgrading from a 2015 iMac that is already rock solid with everything fully updated and installed on 10.13.2.

Re: 12.8.3 is here!

I do audio post for video, so I have no choice on that front.

Doubt it would make a difference though. It’s the same in a blank session with no video.

Re: 12.8.3 is here!

AMD Radeon R9 M390 2 GB -

I know I'm using the 3.2 Ghz i5 (yeah yeah...), but come on. A Mac Mini from 2012 doesn't have this problem, nor does my 13" Macbook with onboard graphics. It has to be...

Re: 12.8.3 is here!

So unfortunately I'm still experiencing the same GUI lag I've had on every version of Pro Tools for the last few years on this damn Late 2015 iMac... mostly when scrolling and zooming with R/T. The...

Re: 12.8.3 is here!

Glad to hear it! I’m going to go for it tonight, also on 10.12.6.

Actually updating from 12.7.0, which has been rock solid except for the GUI lag. Hoping for the best.

Re: 12.8.3 is here!

Anyone test it on a Late 2015 iMac? I've been living with the GUI issues and running in 'Low Resolution Mode' as a workaround for a year now.

Still on 10.12.2 but I'll backup and give this a shot...

Re: Possible to have system sound output set to HD Native while Pro Tools is running?

The best solution is to use an optical cable from your Mac output to the optical input on the Omni. Then go into the Hardware Mixer and set it to monitor on your mains. This way you can always play...

Re: Should we install 12.6.1?

That's really interesting and I'm not sure why it wouldn't be there... are you using scaled resolution in System Preferences>Display? Maybe try messing with that and see if it shows up?

Any issues with sluggishness or lag on your new 27" iMac and Sierra/PT 12.6? Myself and a few others are still experiencing the GUI lag and sluggishness, unless we enable Low Resolution...

Interesting to hear you're experiencing that on the i7 machine with the best GPU, because I was wondering if that would make a difference. I'm still experiencing the issue and running in Low...

Re: Should we install 12.6.1?

Weird... are you doing Get Info on Pro Tools in the Applications folder? It should be right above the App Nap setting and should say 'Open in Low Resolution'

Are you on a Retina machine? Here's...

Re: Should we install 12.6.1?

Same here man. It's weird because I had the GUI lag issue in El Capitan, but 12.5.2 fixed it. Then I upgraded to Sierra and 12.6 and the problem came back. Clean install, reformat, SSD/Fusion...

Re: Touch Bar on new Mac Book Pros

I have the touch bar 13" with PT 12.6 on Sierra.

Currently it doesn't do anything - just the usual system controls appear and you have to hold Fn in order to show the F1-F12 keys, which is one...

Re: Which New iMac?

Let me know how it works for you!

I'm on the newest 27" 5k iMac with the R9 390, PT 12.6 HD and Sierra. I'm having really bad GUI and interface lag. It's like the old El cap bug got unfixed and...

Re: MacOS Sierra + Pro Tools 12.5 = No Fader Lag

I'm just doubting whether it's the fusion drive, because I booted off an external 7200 HDD and the problem was still there in Sierra. Not present on the same drive in El Cap.

I just enabled low...

Re: Sierra made the GUI lag worse for me

Thanks Dave,

I actually remember closely following your thread. It's just so frustrating to have a powerful machine and it runs worse than a laptop with inferior specs. It has to be some kind of...
