I guess the external hd runs only 5400 rpm indeed. I posted a pic of it last night but the sticker doesn't tell me a lot.

- I mainly used an external hd but test-played it on the partitioned iMac-hd just once as well. The annoyances were the same.

- That's why I eventually got back to keep...

Yeah, system usage seemed fine though (15%) and optimizations are set to 'normal' indeed.
I'm not surfing while on PT but have to admit that I do not always turn off wifi.

for this session I'm using the xpand2, boom (no crackling issues here), FM 8 and NI Massive - all computational I guess...?

pop and click sounds with particular note-duration settings on instrument track

I've been having an issue with pop and click sounds on some of my instrument tracks.
They only occur on quantized tracks/midi patterns where notes are contiguous and have the exact same duration...
