Re: Replacement Ideas for Dead 002 on PT8?

Thanks, really I was wondering why an Mbox 3 Pro would command more of a price tag than a Digi 003. They seem to offer about the same I/O and FireWire, but I imagine the 003 has more, better quality...

Re: Replacement Ideas for Dead 002 on PT8?

Thanks Albee - would an MBox 3 give me all the necessary features though for less the price? I looked around a just a little and it seems like $150 for an 003R is pretty good, some of the MBox 3’s...

Replacement Ideas for Dead 002 on PT8?

Hi, had the same rig for a long time now, and the old 002R finally gave up the ghost. Stopped recognizing the computer or lighting up on the front. Trying to figure out the best replacement option. ...

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

Someone needs a Snickers. Yes it was in the event list too, but that wasn't any good for editing it, like I already said.

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

I think my question sounded more complicated than it was, I was just trying to figure out if you did one record pass or two. But now I know it was just one, because I found it. It was being recorded...

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

Albee, thanks, this is really great, but do I understand right that this did not appear after the initial recording of the organ track, and that you had to enable plugin automation after the fact,...

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

Yes, that's what I can't find! There are dozens of those "general" and "undefined" tracks though, how did you find out which ones ProTools was using by default?

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

Yes, there is no plug-in automation written. But the MIDI that was recorded included drawbar information of its own, and is playing it back. But where can I go to edit that information? It just...

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

Thanks musicman, and yes I already found what MIDI CC the drawbar is mapped to, but that does not allow me to go back and edit the drawbar information that was recorded. It's simple enough to edit...

Re: WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

The drawbars are MIDI CC mapped. But I can't figure out WHERE they are being recorded to. It seems really strange that it isn't easy to find...if I use plugin automation I don't know how it will...

WHERE is the DB-33 recording its drawbar information?!?

This one has been driving me nuts -

I use a Q49 controller with the DB-33. I like it. ProTools saves the modwheel information to the modwheel track, the foot pedal sustain information to the...

Re: iTunes-Windows 7-Digi002-Bit Perfect?

No, it doesn't answer the question, apparently you need to learn how digital audio works.

Just because an application does not have an ASIO driver does not mean you cannot get bit perfect audio...

iTunes-Windows 7-Digi002-Bit Perfect?

Hi all, finally upgraded to Windows 7.

Was happy to see that 7 now recognizes the Digi002 as a playback device. I was having fun running iTunes > Digi002 > RME ADI-2 > HS50Ms.

However, I'm...

What? I know how to get it to work, I'm just wondering if it works for all digital inputs on interfaces that support LLM.

That sounds about right, but what about for digital inputs? Does it...

Re: Which Mbox Models Support LLM with Digital Inputs?

Its definitely not in any "getting started" guide, because it goes way beyond just getting started. I need schematics I think.

Re: Which Mbox Models Support LLM with Digital Inputs?

Nope, just scanned through the whole thing, actually I didn't find any signal flow information. It only discusses in the box stuff really. I need a reference guide especially for the Mbox I think.

Re: Which Mbox Models Support LLM with Digital Inputs?

Ah, you mean the general PT reference guide...I could look in that, I wouldn't expect to find signal routing information in there. You sure?

Re: Which Mbox Models Support LLM with Digital Inputs?

No, I'd love to! Where can I find it? For some reason I'm having a hard time finding technical documents for Avid hardware.
