Sounds like an internal AVB network card issue, wich usually mess up the entire system if it's the case.
Did you have a look under Windows at all the network cards ?

Ok, the update has no influence on how much CPU is used on the Mac side, this is the error message given by PT, it does not mean that it is actually really a CPU problem...

How can you explain...

I still have big issues while Playback/Record with ProTools/AVB on S3L-X system.

My config :

MBP Retina Mid 2014 - 2,5 Ghz Intel Core i7
OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan

And i am up to be part of any beta testing on the S3L-X Venue if needed as i tour with and do all my live shows with it. I record/playback via AVB every shows...
