Re: 11.1.3 is out - an end to PT 11 video problems?

Re: Problems with Memory Location/Marker Import

It used to work as you'd expect in PT 9 - it's broken in PT 10.X

Justin's tip won't help if you've already got markers in your session - good luck there! You could import in reverse, import...

Re: 6-core (3.33GHz) or 2 quad-core (2.4GHz) Westmere

everymac.com has a great comparison with theoretical 'geekbench' scores where you can compare. According to the numbers, there isn't much in it - the 6 core is slightly quicker tho.

The dual...

Re: Is snow leopard and pt9 safe

You drag the little corner of the partition up - that gives you free space, then you add another partition with the 'plus' button. I think you have to have selected the ACTUAL drive in the left...

Re: TS10 woofer with C24

Yep (or use an RCA bridging connector and run it to Channel 1 & 2 of your sub). Are your Tannoy speakers full range? I've got a 5 speaker set of Reveals, and they're not full range, they roll...

Re: Auto Preview Feature Request...

You can program those buttons if you've got a Euphonix control surface (either the transport or the control unit have programable buttons)

Sorry to double quote you. But - in regular quicktime 10, as you move the mouse away from the QT screen the window around the screen vanishes.... Maybe you can call up that feature?

I solved my...

Re: Cut down from 90 to 60 minutes, Best way?

It's also all the other things you can do with conformalizer too - like "previously" and "next week" edits.

And using it to just cut the video file to each cut in the show - BG's just got easier...

Re: Soundminer question

Sounds like you're spotting a stereo file to a mono track - Soundminer/ProTools is taking the two legs and pasting them on top of each other, doing the R leg last... Which is why you have the R side...

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Pro Question

Re: FCP "bug" to watch out for...

Just wanted to chime in here and say that sadly this bug is STILL alive and well.

I had a similar call from the producer - all out of sync, it's drifting.... Was a purely 25fps project, all cut...

Re: AAF from Nuendo 4 to PT8.0.4 Errors

How do you know it's digi's fault? Anyhow - have you requested an OMF as a workaround?

I've sometimes had to request an OMF instead of an AAF (and vice versa) from Avids, as one will work fine...

Re: Digi, Whats the time frame for CS2?

Actually, you can run 8.0.1 on snow leopard just fine. I'd try that first.

I did have one little issue, iKey (the quick keys alternate I use) wouldn't find any of the menu items I'd built...
