Yep, trashing preferences was the first thing I did. Jumped up to OSX, so researching a bit that may be some of the issue. For whatever reason, my Xpand2 disappeared as well.

I usually keep at the default of 85%, 4 processor. IF....I start running into issues, I run it at no more than 256 Sample when I am recording, but bump up higher when recording. Never really ran...

Long time, no talk for me. Been busy with the Army life but have finally been able to get back to recording and have done quite a bit of upgrades to my system.

I am now on a iMac and running OSX....

I'm going to go with Albee on this one. The only thing on my PT computer......is PT. My laptop does the gaming, etc. The PT system requires such specific settings and requirements that to use it...

I hear ya. I had asked a similar comment once only in reverse. Wanted something with vocals removed. I dont remember who said the kool aid comment to me but it kinda stuck with me.

I'll let the pro's chime in, but I think that PT8 was the last that would support XP. From here on out it is Windows 7. I could be wrong, but that it how I understand it....:D

In the Vyzex program, you have to click "Midi control - internal" and change it to external. It should work after that.
