Yes, trashed preferences etc, doesn't make any improvement.

Re: Audio drops out - PT 12.3 12.4 iMac i7

UPDATE:

I appear to have identified the cause of the issue! First let me say an enormous thank you to the people that have tried to provide advice in this thread.

It turns out there was a...

Re: Audio drops out - PT 12.3 12.4 iMac i7

The master fader meters also reflect the audio drop outs. In other words the meters drop down for 1-2 seconds

Re: Audio drops out - PT 12.3 12.4 iMac i7

Why would it be a plugin issue if all my plugins were fine only a few days ago and I changed absolutely no plugins or updates etc?

Re: Audio drops out - PT 12.3 12.4 iMac i7

Not no haven't tried disabling all plugs... The sessions I've been testing feature virtual instruments exclusively so there would be no sound anyway if I disabled all

Audio drops out - PT 12.3 12.4 iMac i7 [solved]

I have suffered a most exasperating difficulty; suddenly a few days ago I started experiencing audio drop outs in Pro tools sessions. I did not change anything prior to this happening; ie NO new...

Re: so has 7.1 fixed any of your 7.0 problems?

I've noticed a huge improvement in stability. I reverted to 6.9.2 after continual frustrations with 7.0. I only went to 7.1 so I could use the music production kit. But I have been pleasantly...

Re: My music production toolkit arrived yesterday

In answer to the question by `Hype', it's tricky ordering the music production toolkit. If you go to the www.digidesign.com (http://www.digidesign.com) website, and then click on `digistore' on the...

My music production toolkit arrived yesterday

I was quite amazed actually, I had only ordered it 3 business days earlier, and I live way down under in Australia! Thanks digi!

Now, for my initial review:

As others have noted, PT7.1 really...

Re: The removal of the \"special offer\" is absurd!

Well said dmm, I couldn't agree more. The 2 plug-ins on the special upgrade offer when PT7 came out were almost given away!

It's a shame this forum seems to be dominated by regular complaints...

Re: ProTools 7.0, BFD and G4 Dual 1.42 ??

There is only one solution: Downgrade to PT6.9.2 and it will work pretty well. I was in the same situation, dual 1.25 G4 with PT7, BFD was totally useless until I reverted to 6.9.2

Re: PB 1.67 + 002r + PT LE 7.1

Re: Linking Markers to Regions...

You might like to do some reading about `sync' points in regions, that could provide what you're looking for

Re: RE: I Find BFD Cool!

Robsmith, are you using PT7 or PT6.9.2? I recently downgraded from 7 to 6.9.2 and BFD is working beautifully now! As you will see from my above posts, it was totally unusable for me in PT7

Today I downgraded from PT7 to PT6.9.2.....

I recently upgraded straight to PT 7, all the way from good old PT5.1, on my Dual 1.25ghz MDD G4 with 2Gb of RAM. I also went from a 001 to a 002 Rack. I have Tiger 10.4.3 installed. PT5.1 with...
