Re: Turn off Input Monitoring

The frustration is that they obviously have not made the option to turn input monitoring off when in "record" in PT11.
In response to another previous post, I use Digital Performer also, where...

Re: Turn off Input Monitoring

I'd prefer to run headphone mixes and punch in's being monitored from the inputs on my digital console instead of having to go through the interface when tracking.
I understand what you are...

Turn off Input Monitoring

Did they finally do this in PT11?
In Pro Tools 10 they have the "low latency monitoring" for two channels and you have to turn it off when bouncing to disk, kind of a headache.

Hopefully they...

Re: Listening to an audio track without arming it

This input monitoring business has been going on WAY to long with Avid.

Simply provide an option to TURN OFF input monitoring all together!

This way, by using a separate mixer; when someone is...

Re: Input Monitoring

The point is that Protools should also provide an "off" monitoring option so that if you record from a hardware mixer, the return of the audio channel(s) doesn't come back to the mixer...
It makes...

Re: Input Monitoring

The problem was that there was no way to turn off the input monitoring function. I would like to know this also as it is the only thing that keeps me away from Protools from a large tracking...

Re: Pt9 + motu 2408 mk3

Obviously, Protools only recognizes 32 i/o, so thus a problem with the second 24 channels on a single interface verse two audio interfaces with 16 and 16 type of situation.

I simply turn off the...

Re: "Segmentation Fault" "Main Thread" Error

The reason I "was" getting this message was because I was using two 24 channel Audio interfaces (which are not made by Avid). Protools 9 only supports 32 channels of I/O so PT was freaking out with...

Re: Digi MIDI i/o Duplicated and greyed in Audio/Midi setup

Many MIDI interfaces require a lithium battery so save their start up settings.
When the battery dies, every time you restart the Audio Midi Setup doesn't recognize the Midi interface from previous,...

Re: Input monitoring

They want you to use their hardware...I would be shocked if this wasn't done on purpose unfortunately. Still love Protools though.

"Segmentation Fault" "Main Thread" Error

I get an Alert

"Segmentation fault" in thread "MainThread", at address 0x0

I get this every time I try to open the "Session" window, thus, I am not able to open the Session window as Protools...

Re: Who has switched from TDM to HD Native?

Why the heck would they not make an "Input Monitoring Off" feature so that you can do punch in's when monitoring from a hardware mixing console?

What a pain in the ass, there should not have to be...
