You should consider ViennaEnsemble pro; works great on any PT system, and you can load a lot more VI than in PT alone; you also can have a slave connected by ethernet, no latency, easy to manage.

I didn't try the way you do it since Protools version 8; I open the score window in Protools with the midi tracks I need highlighted, right click on the score window ans select "Send to Sibelius"...
