EMI Problem Solving

Hello,

I've just built a new rig (detailed below post). It's suffering from what I assume is EMI.

Whenever I drag my mouse around or play back in Pro Tools I'm getting digital noise / clicking....

I'm unsure if anyone has brought this up? My biggest annoyance is the brown markers bar, anything close to red just disappears.

The workaround I guess it to place a dark blue marker at the head...

No worries .. ! Yeah, I'm interested to see how it compares. It's $500 less than the fully specd 2020 version in New Zealand. I have an eGPU with a 5700XT, so I wouldn't be using the integrated GPU...

Apple just announced the 2021 Mac mini with the M1 chip which raises more questions, is the 16GB unified memory better/faster than the 64GB from 2020?

Top tier specs are:

No, that IS an Apollo X8P in the silhouette at the end.

The new Apollo’s run off of a hexa-core processor also .. *potential UAD/Avid partnership? Or opening up 3rd party DSP for Pro Tools?

Has anyone mentioned the hexagon imagery and the probability that it has something to do with a hexa-core processor?
