when i install the asio drivers (5.3.3b2), the install program says me that directio.dll and directmidi.dll are "locked", so a blue screen appears when i try to launch protools or...

if you REALLY WANT to listen cd's thru your 001, just install winME: the cd player extracts audio in real-time directly (no cable needed, no extra soundcard needed).

without ASIO drivers, the 001 is only a "half-pro" sound card.
same thing for NT4, win2k, XP and BeOS drivers & programs.

i forgot,
if you have more than 192 Mb of ram,
just add this command to your "system.ini"
in the [386enh] section:

ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1

this line will "tune" the virtual memory more...

i have the same mobo...
you have to install your digi 001 on the first pci slot (just under the agp slot) and enable the "pci slot 1 priority" in the bios setup...and set the pci latency timing to...

hi, guys...
my cd rom drive has an "spdif" output, so i plug it in the spdif input of the digi001 with a coaxial cable. it works fine...
most actual cd rom drives features spdif output.
have fun...
