Yes, I tried this installer too, but the strange thing remained, that the CA Manager installed was still called "Digi CoreAudio Manager", unlike on my main audio...

I've had this problem with PT8 and 003, upgraded to PT9, still the same problem, the audio driver seems to crash or something. Mostly though I use Logic with the 003, and guess what, the connection...

That's how i felt with PT8, and since they never got it to work properly, I finally bought PT9 late July 2011, so not even 3 months ago.
PT9 still isn't as stable as you'd expect a highly integrated...

Yes, a common problem with PTLE 8 as it seems. I'm getting the same message on a very regular basis, as do many others. Yet DIG/Avid refuses to fix this problem, instead they force us to buy version...

No way, Digi!!! I've spent good moey in 003R ad PT8 which doesn't work properly. I'd expect Digi to find a solution other than tell us...

They didn't get the previous CA driver to work properly, so I would have preferred a fix for this one first.

Quite handy actually. I recently plugged in my guitar, and I wouldn't necessarily have noticed, that the level was going into the red. But those flashing LEDs are a real eye catcher :-)

Are you guys using Logic 9 successfully with the 003? Man, I'm still mostly reading about people having problems getting the 003 to work properly, mostly with 3rd party software, including Logic... :(
