Re: Faux 5.1 Surround

"Faux 5.1," what a delightful delivery spec. I'd make sure the producer isn't planning to "faux" pay for the work!

Re: IR\'s for TL SPACE

Many years ago, I can remember telling clients "We've got two kinds of reverb here, short and long." Guess those days are long gone!

Re: MOJO or 110?

I can't argue with that. Early last year we were told "real soon, no later than June" which ended up being close to the end of the year.

Still, it does work with Intel machines, and has since last...

Re: MOJO or 110?

It is compatible with Intel Macs, as of v7.4. We've got it working just fine on our dubber.

Re: Digitranslator

No, it's not for video editing. In addition to other important features, DV Toolkit is required for time code and feet/frames capabilities. You will need it to do serious audio for video/film work....

Re: 7.4 bugs

Strange...I'm also on a Pentium 4 system and do this all the time, with no problems.

Is the Mojo the only thing on the firewire port?

EDIT: My bad...I missed the "Quicktime" part of dopplah's...

Re: 7.4 elastic audio in post

Even if you can take a tiny config file with you from room to room, and city to city? So your exact configuration follows you everywhere you work?

Re: VU Meter

You really don't need a $350 meter. I've got a $50 Tandy that I've checked against my much pricier Fluke, and it's dead on. In any case, a serious studio really should have a good multi-meter...

Re: Fixing distorted sound

Cedar declip module. It DOES work miracles.

If you don't want to invest in the Cambridge system or plug-in suite, you can send your files to Cedar for processing.

Re: Cingular phones in the studio.

Hello Philip. What you see as interesting, I consider pragmatic.

When automobiles first appeared on roads, there was a serious problem in that the noisy engines would spook the horses pulling the...

Re: Cingular phones in the studio.

I see it the other way around. Cellphones are transmitting on FCC authorized frequencies, at FCC authorized power levels. They are operating correctly, within spec. Manufacturers of audio equipment...

Re: Avid Mojo and ADR

If you're using Avid video media (from an Avid, or digitized straight into PT through your Mojo) no offset is required. With imported Quicktime media, you will need an offset.

Keep in mind your...

Re: DA-88 question - OT

What you're describing should work fine. If you're getting digital throughput, it should be appearing on the analog outputs as well. No need to arm tracks, just press ALL INPUT.

Re: Any Issues With Recording Dolby E Into PT?

I suppose it's not for...
