Re: Pro Tools on MacBook

Yes, the software is compatible with MacIntel's.. but your thread will likely get more responses in the LE forum.

Re: Will my UA TDM plugins be unusable in PT 7.2?

I had a similar issue with a reverb return last night. It would sync just fine w/ ADC during playback, but fell apart when bouncing the mix. This seems to be a common problem with the UAD card and...

Re: Will my UA TDM plugins be unusable in PT 7.2?

I had the same stability issue w/ the UAD-1.. think I might just have to buy the TDM plugs and pray they continue to work well beyond 7.2

Which small-format control surface to buy..

Hey All,

I'm looking for recommendations in the small-format control surface market. I read good things about the Tascam US-2400, but it's discontinued and unavailable in Canada. It appears as...

Re: AAF and OMF to Logic doesn\'t work

Hey Chris,

I've been trying to find a quick and easy way to get to Pro Tools from Logic for some time now, but have yet to have any reliable (and recreatable) success with either OMF or AAF. It...

Re: Delay Plug Recommendations..

Wow, thanks for the advice everyone! It looks like I'd be silly not to demo EchoBoy (and get myself at least one Accel card). As always, your collective advice is greatly appreciated.

Delay Plug Recommendations..

Hey all,

just wondering if anyone can make a solid Delay plug recommendation. I'm using Echo Farm at the moment and dig the results I'm getting, but I wouldn't mind having a second solid delay...

Re: Waves SSL vs. Duende

Wow, thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions everyone. It sounds as if I really can't make a truly 'wrong' decision, no matter which route I take. Hearing how many native instances Ainslie got...

Re: SSL Duende.. anyone tried it?

Thanks for those GS threads.. it seems that most, if not all of the negative comments were based on speculation alone. The few people who actually had a Duende had pretty positive reviews. ...

Re: Waves SSL vs. Duende

yes, I'm aware that the Duende algo's are directly ported from the C200 console. They are SSL's own emulations of their E/G series channel strips, as well as the master buss compressor. While there...

Re: Waves SSL vs. Duende

thanks Barry. If I'm not mistaken, both units are set to ship into Canada in the next few weeks; perhaps I can test drive both units side-by-side. Should that happen, I'll be sure to post my...

Waves SSL vs. Duende

Hey All,

I'm faced with a decision, and could use some input. I'd like to get some SSL plugs, but there are two solid options available. There are tonnes of Waves SSL reviews available, but none...

Re: Recorded in Logic, hope to mix in Pro Tools

I forgot about the earlier post regarding batch exporting in Logic. All the files should then be the same size, in which case I can just drop them in and line them up without worrying about SDII or...

Re: Recorded in Logic, hope to mix in Pro Tools

OK, so I'm running into another snag with this whole OMF/AAF situation. After giving up all remaining hope with respect to OMF, I requested that the project files be delivered as AAFs. There was a...

Ainslie,

thanks for the quick response. I could've sworn I selected 24-bit, but I'll have to repeat the process to be 100% sure. cheers,

Re: Recorded in Logic, hope to mix in Pro Tools

Hey All,

thanks for all of the great advice. I'm going to give a few of those methods a shot. My first attempt was an OMF transfer, but it exported all of the audio at 16-bit (doh!). I'll try...

AT Pro 37.. yes/no?

Hey everyone,

An interesting offer arrived in my inbox the other day from a friend. It seems he has a relatively inexpensive pair of mint condition AT Pro 37's. I'm partial to AKG 451's, but has...

Re: HD1 or HD2 Accel?

Consider HD2 Accel a minimum buy-in. I'm working with HD Core and a pretty fast computer so I can get the job done (and don't get me wrong, I love it), but HD2 or 3 would be ideal. If it is in the...
