Update: I did a clean install of absolutely everything, running Pro Tools last so it will scan for it and alas, no Sibelius rewire showing up in the inserts. I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong....

Apple replaced the logic board, no dice. Then they replaced the power supply. When I got it home the ring was WORSE but sounded more like a normal ground loop than before. So I tried a ground lift...

Thanks for your thoughts. The apple peeps (and other pro audio guys I talked to) thought it might be a grounding issue with the USB bus. So they replaced the logic board. I brought it home and viola....
