Re: What dB is audio for VIDEO GAMES?

Thanks for the reply! The target format is for the Nintendo DS only. Would you consider the DS a "console" or more like a phone game because of the size of the speakers? Also, could I assume that...

What dB is audio for VIDEO GAMES?

I'd like to hear from those of you who have done VOs and sound design for video games. When I do sound design for video, the editors always ask for the dB to be at -12 dB and when I do an audio CD...

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

To go back to my original question of leaving ADC on or off while tracking, let me clarify how I'm routing my drum recordings and you can then tell me ON or OFF...

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

No, I haven't tried that. I usually just keep it at 512 with a short ADC. As mentioned in a previous post, I wondering if the tracks are actually being recorded slightly out of time. What h/w...

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

I should also note that with the drums in input mode during sound check and the entire time that we recorded they sounded in phase and great. It's only on playback with ADC enabled that the problem...

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

Okay, so I went back to the drum session that had the problem and deleted ALL inactive tracks. Turned on ADC, and the phase problem is still there! The drum waveforms are in phase and look normal. ...

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

Yes! Exactly! When I had the issue with the guitar going in and out of phase, turning on and off ADC got rid of it, but not with the drum tracks in the other session. It's totally random and I've...

Regarding the...

Re: BF76 Plug in Meter acting like the light bulb is out?

I use the BF76 daily and I've never seen it do that. Was this a one time thing or can you reproduce this? As long as the plug still works, you may just have to deal with it.

Re: 96 vs 88.2 and down sampling (again?)

I've been told by some well respected pros that 88.2 is better, because it is exactly double of 44.1 and the down sampling will be more accurate. You're not going to be able to tell the difference...

Re: Hear Technologies: Hooking up with 192?
