Re: error 5364

Any luck with This, Tristan? I'm having the same issue with the uninstaller for the mbox driver. "That operation falied due to to error 5364. You may wish to try again."

How did you resolve...

Re: Sampletank not home

probably requires a Sampletank upgrade. I wonder if you need it now that you've got Xpand and the other added features that PT 8 has? I also lost Sampletank in the upgrade to 8.0, but with all the...

Re: Autotune 4 and PT 8

No luck with me (PPC G5, PTLE 8) inserting .dpm with AT4. Crashed PT when I tried to insert it onto a track. Hmmmm. Sounds like Evo needs to be for Mevo.

Re: how to reduce background noise

first and best solution is work in a less noisy situation, if that is possible. No amount of EQing or tweaking can bring a recording to as much clarity as a good recording environment. Record late...

Re: repeatedly crashing

I had similar problems, and it turned out to be corrupt audio files that were shutting down PT when they were brought into a session.

Try importing several audio files from DIFFERENT sources and...

I have started COMPLETELY from scratch--erased my G5 completely, reinstalled OS 10.3.5, reinstalled PTLE 6.7 and all Plugs--and I am still at square one. Anytime I use the TC/E trim...

6.7 freeze during TC/E trim

Here we are:
G5 dual 1.8Ghz
OS 10.3.5
PT LE 6.7
002R

The problem is that each time I utilize the TC/E trim tool, spinning pizza chaos ensues (ProTools freezes up).
It occured right after I...

Re: 002 vx. MBox (track count and processing)

there is no doubt about 002 pulling weight with greater power and performance. 002 runs via firewire, which compared to plain old USB--there is little comparison. I was working with Mbox up until 2...

Re: White Noise/Static during playback w/Mbox & PT 6.4

what other software (plugs, etc...) are you running? Are you sure that everything has been updated? At times, if plugs are not updated to the current system (10.3.2, PT 6.4), then things get...

Re: Mbox fuzz in right channel

Waddya think, DIGI?

It is NOT a grounding problem as far as I can tell. It seems that the right channel overloads and distorts at even low volume/gain levels. All my gain stages are at the right...

Re: distortion on Mbox

do you have Waves plugins?

If so, there is a new Waveshell 4.0.1 to download that fixes this problem. Go to their website to get the download fix.

If you do not have Waves plugins, I do not...

Re: What\'s a suitable midi controller for Pro Tools LE

It doesn't take much. As long as you have a good software sampler package (e.g., SampleTank, Reason, etc...), the keyboard is just a MIDI "trigger". no bells or whistles really necessary. i have...

Re: how do I connect my midi keyboard to my mbox?

You need a USB MIDI hub to work with MIDI with Mbox. $60 or so--try the MOTU Fastlane. It has two MIDI inputs/outputs with thru option.

It would be sweet if Mbox didn't need the hub, but alas,...

Automation in SampleTank LE?

Is there anyway to automate parameters in SampleTank (effects parameters, panning, etc...)? I have tried it all, but to no avail. Is it because it is not the full version of SampleTank?

Re: Mbox fuzz in right channel

A more accurate description of what is in the right channel is not electrical current buzz, but rather distortion (like when a kick drum hits, low frequency distorts).

As far as I can tell, it is...

Couple of thoughts for you...

first, are you "zoomed in" all the way? If you zoom in real far, you will lose sight of the grid.

second, check in Preferences (go to top menu bar, click on Pro...
