You need to use auto punch. Set the in and out points. I’m not at my studio machine to check how. I use HD and that may work different, but I believe auto punch is in either version.

I believe Yosemite, though I can run 11.31 in Sierra with the import file bug, drag and drop works fine as does AAF. No other issues.

Sounds like a sample rate or bit depth mismatch. Or a PT bug. Yes, check it at the original studio. I learned the hard way, more than once, to playback takes before the session is over for quality...

I set my auto backup to every minute, max files. It takes up more drive space but it’s easy to delete the unwanted files. It hurts to lose work.

No, I’m just using PT11.31 HD native with a MOTU Ultralite, on a 6,1 Quad with 32 gb ram. I do post and sound design and the system works great. I decided to spend my money on other than PT upgrades...

I run PT 11.31 on Sierra. The only issue I find is I cannot import audio using the file menu, I must drag in audio from the finder. I did not install PT into Sierra, I did an OS upgrade from Yosemite.

Ok, I understand Kenny's method but there are more steps involved that how PT does it. Still, multiple videos is a requirement as I can easily have over 100 clips to work to. Otherwise I think Reaper...

Docs state that trim can’t be written to using automation, that, for me, is necessary for mixing.

Manual says:

It is not a track parameter control envelope: it does not correspond to any track...

I know you can manually trim but can you trim using external faders as the session is playing? I’ll check out these vids, I’ve been meaning to watch Nick's.
