Re: Ilok key says its owned by another user.

Hi Bruce, same problem here. I purchased pro tools express a while ago and just purchased the upgrade to PT 11. I can't complete the process as it's saying my ilok is registered to another user...

Re: Voice recording questions

I would have to disagree with the above post - riding faders live during an audiobook recording would be impossible as the engineer has no idea how the reader will perform the script. This is not...

Re: Voice recording questions

From a recording standpoint - don't close-mic the reader straight on their mouth as you would a singer - you'll have plosive nightmares. Pull the mic back a couple of extra inches, move it down on...

Re: Voice recording questions

Sibilance question has been answered....

For the p's: If they're p pops as in plosives you will usually see the main portion of the plosive before the actual word itself as a dense wavy line -...

Re: Finally Bought Logic

I always find the Logic versus Pro Tools discussions very amusing. Mostly, both sides vociferously defend their DAW's, skimming over flaws and lauding advantages. Both are different, neither are...

Re: CPU Overload. Can\'t resolve issue.

Don't know if this is much help but I know that Amplitube is a major memory hog - maybe it is just the case of needing a little more RAM in order to run both at the same time.....? I have Guitar Rig...

Dia duit, I just heard from a friend looking into Mainstage that if you're using a Mac laptop, apparently you need a Macbook Pro in order to use all of Mainstage's functionality.

Alternative: I...

Re: recorded tracks not aligned

Check to see if region handles are fully extended. Then go into spot mode and make sure that all the regions are at the original record position - worth a try maybe?

Failing that, go back to...

Re: Dynaudio BM6A\'s - Which input do I use?!!

Re: Dynaudio BM6A\'s - Which input do I use?!!

That's correct. You should have a level trim on the back of the speakers which you can dial down to give you more room for movement with the monitor dial.
