Re: My 7.1 Quad G5 rig is rock solid. Should I upgrade to 7.3.1?

Any performance hit compared to 7.1? The new features in 7.3 are tempting but I can't afford to lose any speed.

My 7.1 Quad G5 rig is rock solid. Should I upgrade to 7.3.1?

Hey all. Haven't been around here much lately since my PTLE 7.1 / 002R / PowerMac Quad 2.5GHz G5 rig has been absolutely reliable across the creation of two complete album projects this year. I have...

Re: Mbox, Spdif and Tiger

Same problem in one of the little studios I maintain; same setup except we use an iMac G5 instead of a PowerMac. We have to set the SPDIF clock pref every single time -- it's annoying.

Re: Focusrite Platinum Voicemaster Pro & PT LE

I use my Focusrite TwinTrack Pro with the digital upgrade card (same one that is used in the Voicemaster Pro) for all my analog-digital conversion and am getting noticably better results than I ever...

Re: vocal tracks cutting through the mix

I'm inspired by the linked article to remix my record before I send it to mastering. I'm looking for a way to "see" the frequencies of any Pro Tools track, individually, so I can use this information...

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth clicks

Not really. The minor reduction I get with the Rchannel preset Waves Support sent me is not strong enough. If I make it stronger, the voice sounds weird. I guess I need to buy X-Click and X-Crackle...

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth clicks

Wow, Renovator looks like just the ticket, but our little startup could never afford it. The demo only works on three minutes at a time, so that's more trouble than it's worth.

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth cl

They did. They sent me a preset for RChannel as well. Didn't get the time to test it last night but will tonight.

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth clicks

Just heard back from Waves again. The've created a preset for my Renaissance Channel, which I would also like to share with you all -- if I can figure out how. Here's what they wrote:

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth clicks

Can't find a way to upload this preset -- anybody know how to do this? I'd really like to share this with you all. It's only 4K.

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth clicks

Okay, Waves Support got back to me with a partial solution. They recommended using the C1 Gate and sent me a preset which I will attach to this message if the system will allow me to.

The result...

Re: Should I be using a pre-amp with mbox?

Re: Using Waves Vocal Bundle plugs to zap mouth cl

Re: 6 months...still no DIGI support for Quad G5...

Re: Processor Upgrade Question - Mac G4 dual 500
