Get yourself a premium "boom box". You could cover a lot of ground and sound with something like that on the road. Or do all your mixing in the car with a wireless transmitter option

Give JMS's advice a try. I've left a clients "dead" drive in the freeze overnight and next day recovered data from it. This low tech method really works for some types of recovery. Good luck, Roy.

EQ might help try some "guitar presets" if you have 'em...
some of the same tricks used on Lead Vox can be applied to lead guitar as well...

Try doubling then pitch shift a few cents and offset...

One word: submix - I think it's much easier to manage in 6.x with virtual tracks.

I know one can sync two...

USB is just as good as PS2 for PT. Wireless is the only possible issue with a keyboard. I've had two keyboards plugged in and operating with ps2/usb and they worked fine.
