Re: Cannot download purchased software

Well, Avid contacted me and got it sorted - looks like the service has improved - or at least there is room for hope and optimism.

Avid Customer Service/DigiTechSupt: when I click to PM you I get...

Re: PT11 Activation Problem / Code Redemption page redirects to Reseller

Same problem here - ridiculous. I will give it 24 hours, but this is just crappy service. Looks like Avid CS is as crappy as Digidesign was. This is the only software product I could not download...

Re: My issues with Pro Tools 9 and Windows 7/64bit

Well, I haven't had your luck. I upgraded to Win7 64 bit with a whopping 16G RAM. Pro Tools runs the same as it did for me in XP and W7 x32-- crappy. Run a couple of VI's and effects and bam, buffer...

Re: Bad Pro Tools LE DVD- how to install?

Awesome. I went to the link. I don't have my registration card, so I called the customer service number. Was a bit of a wait, but the CS guy was on point, well spoken, and directed me to try to...

Re: Bad Pro Tools LE DVD- how to install?

Thanks for the info. How do you actually register a product at Avid? I got PT 8 LE with an Mbox Mini awhile back, don't know if I have the info for it though. I have the box itself, with the S/N, but...

Bad Pro Tools LE DVD- how to install?

I just upgraded to my hardware and software to an i7 based system with Windows 7 64 bit, and when I went to re-install my pro-tools 8 LE from the DVD, I found out the DVD is defunct. I'm not sure if...

Re: PT 8.04...Can't Esc/Quit BOUNCE

I agree, this is a bug, and should be fixed by Avid. You should not have to resort to turning off features of your operating system to use the software, particularly for a feature that works fine in...

Re: Pro Tools Creative Collection returned an error. Error: -2147213312

I apologize, I did not understand "turn the same error." When reinstalling, will the error be fixed?

Re: Pro Tools Creative Collection returned an error. Error: -2147213312

When I go to the support page, the only option to contact support via email I can see involves purchasing a support number.

Does anyone know how to contact support-- I just bought the product 6...

Re: 8.0.5 DAE error 6087 again and again and again

Yes, and, how convenient, only a small minority of systems are actually compatible.

How a software company can accuse "systems" of being incompatible with their software, instead of going through...

Re: Have an "incompatible system" -- looking for workarounds

Well I upgraded to Win7 32 bit (didn't wanna reformat, needed to go to 64 bit-- will do later...someday..). Also, upgraded to PT8.05.

Decision made-- I am done with Pro Tools. Going to Reaper or...

Pro Tools Creative Collection returned an error. Error: -2147213312

I just upgraded to 8.05 from 8.04, on Win 7 32 bit system. As usual with PT, it was a nightmare with a ton of bugs and plug in issues. I slogged through them, and got everything working (as good as...

Re: Have an "incompatible system" -- looking for workarounds

You think upgrading to W7 may help?

Thanks for the links. I'll try the viper thing, but I tried all the optimizations from Avid's list, to no avail.

Re: Have an "incompatible system" -- looking for workarounds

I ran a Sandra one time in the past-- that's how we figured out the mobo chipset problem. I might do it again soon and post it here.

-- I did all the optimizations-- no effect...

Re: Have an "incompatible system" -- looking for workarounds

That's encouraging. How many tracks/plug-ins can your run? I start having problems at around 12 tracks with 8 or 10 plugins spread around.

Have an "incompatible system" -- looking for workarounds

This is related to another post of mine, but I think I worded the question in a confusing manner, so here's another try.

I am trying to collect some tips on how to optimize my system. It turns out...

I have not meticulously applied the Avid Optimizations, particularly...

PT 9 on a MacBook Pro Core2Duo-- is it safe?

I am running PT 8 on both a Vista desktop and a MB Pro atm. Not without some problems, particularly on the windows machine.

I am thinking of crossgrading to PT9, but I am hoping for a little...
