Re: Pro Tools 9 and OSX Mavericks

A lot of us cannot afford a new interface and are stuck with the Digi002 surface which is compatible with PT9 and lower, but not with PT10 or 11…which are compatible with Mavericks, while 9 isn't. I...

Default to Rec in Command|8?

I've done copious searching for this, but can't find anything. Is there a way to make "Rec" the default instead of Select tracks on Command|8's channels? I use Rec about 99 times more than I use...

Re: Problem solved ???Amazing discovery with MBox 2 series and iMac 27 inch i7. NEW !

This past week, after taking my iMac i7 out of commission for some time because of this problem, I redid the USB configuration, and it's been working beautifully.

My problem was plugging the Mbox...

Re: imac i7/mbox 2 family - problems

Yup, tried all those...except the ethernet cable. You mean if I don't have one attached that I need to attach one? That's weird. But I'll try anything.

Re: imac i7/mbox 2 family - problems

If it helps, I need to add my name to the list of people having this problem.

We recently got a system with an iMac 27" i7 and an Mbox2. It worked fine for a little more than a week and today, it...

Re: Bets on when Pro Tools will become compatible with Snow Leopard...

FWIW, PT LE 7.4.2 is working on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and an MBox2 Mini. So far. I don't see any snags or any signs of nastiness.

Re: Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

This is where I get confused...or my reading skills are whacked. There's only one PCIx card in the HP which connects to the TDM. How many do I really need for the Mac?

FYI, it's for audio...

Re: Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

Crossgrading sounds fascinating (read that: "cheaper"). Who, where, how? And thanks for the reply!

As I said, I'm a total noob on this.

Re: Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

(reopening this because we might actually pull the trigger on this)

How many slots do I really need to interface a new Mac Pro with my existing TDM system? That's not a snark question - I'm really...

Re: PT 7.4 Suddenly Does Not Load

(rimshot) Tip your waiters and Digi reps.

PT 7.4 Suddenly Does Not Load

Here's a problem that cropped up on me yesterday which seems to also be stumping our Digi rep:

When launching PT 7.4 on our Windows HD TDM system, the drive spins for a bit, but nothing runs. No...

Re: Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

(shaking my fist at Apple for that, too)

Thanks, Chris! So the "PCI-X" on the slots don't mean "PCI Express" then? Nuts. Now the biggest hurdle: trying to talk the owners into budgeting for the...

Re: Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

Interesting...

I looked at the mobo of the HP and the slots for the Digi interface are marked "PCI X". The others are marked "PCI 1" through "PCI 3". I'll do some more checking on what they really...

Re: Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

Thanks for the reply! Ah, the PCI Express conundrum. How do I tell the difference? I forgot. Thanks!

UPDATE: Oh, wait. That info'd be on the mobo at that slot, right? (I'm not in front of the...

Switching from Windows to Mac Pro

It looks like my HP PC is gasping its last, so I'd like to make the switch to a Mac Pro for my HD system. Can I use the same PCI card?

Thanks!

Re: Record Remains Enabled After Recording Ends

Yay! I unchecked "Transport Record Lock" in Preferences, Operation. I'll leave this here for future generations to learn from my clumsiness.
