Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

Loopback maps inputs, so you can route those out from the normal interface device into a Loopback device but then you need outputs, so you would aggregate that Loopback device back with the device...

Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

I used to work twenty-nine hours a day in the studio, and... pay Avid for permission to come to work.

Re: Bus output without aux destination = delay compensation?

If you have an Audio track input connected to this bus and print to the audio track it has to have an output and be record armed, the moment you do that ADC recalculates the real correction here. If...

Re: Mix & Edit Windows as TABS in 1 Pro Tools Window

I have no idea what you are talkign abotu with Finder settings. They are modal dialog boxes, not normal multiple window apps so not sure that's a good test. Have you got it to work with some other...

Re: Mix & Edit Windows as TABS in 1 Pro Tools Window

Any program with multiple windows.

Pick a program. Terminal.... Launch it. Create windows... Shell>New Window. Shell>New Window. Shell>New Window. If that does not work as the Tabs you are after...

Re: Bus output without aux destination = delay compensation?

No, the 63 samples is specific to your setup with the UAD, with RME I see a different number that matches the RME driver reported output latencies.

The H/W buffer is not included in delay...

Re: Pro tools don't recognize keyboard M-Audio Hammer 88 Pro

-- Are on Pro Tools 12 since you are posting in a Pro Tools 12 subforum? I'll assume so for the rest of this post..

Are you trying to use the keyboard for DAW control or as a MIDI keyboard or...

Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

Oh come on Janne. Yet another thread where you are just blindly defending anything Avid does.

This is a poorly marketed/described and poorly implemented user hostile behavior.

If Avid needs...

Re: Bus output without aux destination = delay compensation?

Great you are playing with stuff.

By throwing this non-real routing at Pro Tools you've got signal paths that do not go anywhere. And so ADC does not know what to do, and in this specific case...

Re: Digital clocking issue with Aux IO?

Yes that might happen but it's not likely the issue here, I had a longer post covering all that and deleted it once I realized the likely problem. I botched the edit and should have pruned more from...

Re: Could not complete the Commit command because AAE error -9095 was encountered.

You've been on DUC since 2009 and posted 33 times and this compete lack of any useful information is the best you can do?

Start by reading "help us help you" up the top of every DUC web page....

Re: Digital clocking issue with Aux IO?

Avid Aux I/O is a bit of a hack. Like I said I'd just give up on it and use optical input. Guessing about "negative feedback loops" etc. does not seem productive. What hopefully would be more...

Re: pro tools: the window scrolling option is causes continuous stuttering

First of all playing video and a GUI redraw stuttering are fairly different things and you can't really extrapolate too much between them. And Pro Tools carries some graphics baggage.

And again: ...

Re: Create button doens't exist - Help

The buttons hidden off the bottom of that dialog panel have been reported on DUC multiple times over several years. It is an annoyingly simple bug that needs fixing. Until then you need a higher...

Re: 2024.3.1 Midi recording delay (Latency??)

I'm confused by your description.

Pro Tools has historically not ADC corrected for plugin audio latency on instrument tracks. It won't add latency "introduced by the delay compensation setting"...

Re: Antares plugins (mostly) do not show up in PT 2024.3

These were all working before? On what exact version of Pro Tools and what exact macOS. Of all the things suggested in this thread what have you tried doing?

What exactly have you done since stuff...

Re: C/24 and Protools Studio 2024 compatibility?

Potentially slower/more overhead and eventually Apple will remove Rosetta from macOS, but it's likely got a few years left. You will also eventually see Avid and plugin vendors only offering Apple...

Re: pro tools: the window scrolling option is causes continuous stuttering

No!!! The upgrade story has actually improved. Just buy an annual update/support plan for your perpetual product. That update now acts as a reinstatement as well. There may be a purchase option for...

Re: C/24 and Protools Studio 2024 compatibility?

It's the only option if you don't want to run under Rosetta.

You should grab the free trial of Neyrinck stuff and try it out.

Re: C/24 and Protools Studio 2024 compatibility?

Oh wait you are on a C|24 sorry, my brain fart. I read that too fast as a Control something with Neyrinck compatibility software, and that was broken recently.

What did you upgrade from? The C|24...

Re: C/24 and Protools Studio 2024 compatibility?

It's behaving as expected given Avid oh so nicely removed the MAudio MIDI driver in 2024.3. There are many threads already about this on DUC that you can find with Google search.

Re: Mbox Studio vs. MOTU Ultralite mk5

Nope, not really interested, not even looked at the paper specs for that, since there are many other reasons for me to exclude that box anyhow. Many modern interfaces have decent conversion and I...
