Again, my opinion, based on a whole lot of previous info (including Avid's statements), and cemented by the accounting info, is that neither the Pro Control nor the Control 24 will ever be supported...

I'm rebuilding my music computer, and Cubase 7.5 is sitting there ready to be installed...I'll put PT 9 back on there for my old stuff and for collaboration, but Cubase will be my "main" DAW.

I can't imagine making the control 24 work would be very difficult seeing as the c|24 does.

It becomes very difficult if you are dealing with computer chips that are no longer produced and things...

And since they were ditching old code why didn't they ditch hui? In my mind it would make more sense to drop a 3rd party protocol than their own. Why don't they only support their own controllers?

So why not go ahead and buy one? If you look at Avid's history you have at least 5 years before End-Of-Service on that unit, and...

Uhhhh...no...it's not a matter of disabling anything, Avid simply did not include a driver for the Control|24 in...

A couple of things I forgot in my previous novel...

I deliberately left out Avid's Artist series of controllers, because I don't think anybody outside of Avid knows what's going to be happening...
