Re: Can anyone help me with my MIDI problem???PLEASE RESPOND!!!

Can't you just keep pushing the "next" button and have it install drivers automatically? Alternatively, perhaps your netbook can't give enough power to bring the keyboard up to running power. My...

Re: Best Clock - 002R or MOTU Midi Timepiece?

While the digi superclock is outdated, the motu atp a/v still does regular word clock. I think it's a better clock than the one in my 002r. I have the isa 828 but not the digital option card which is...

Which has the better electrical connection? I'm currently looking at wiring 104 microphone jacks each with 3 wires [26 inputs, 26 outputs, and a snake to run from the wall to my equipment rack with...

Re: Compatibility - what is the issue?

Oh and especially since an mbox isn't something someone would design a computer around; it's an entry level interface for a few hundred. Same with the m-powered and essentials stuff.

Re: Compatibility - what is the issue?

I'm not trying to be cheap, I'm actually spending a buttload of cash on my new computer. There are plenty of awfully expensive components you can buy that would BSOD your ass before you even finish...

Compatibility - what is the issue?

I'm not here to start any arguments or anything, I was just piecing together the computer I hope to order by the end of the month, checking each part for compatibility.

For some reason I stopped...

Re: digi reference monitors; worth the money?

Yeah I guess it's always the same... a thousand opinions and it all comes down to trying out a bunch of stuff. The problem is getting a hold of the stuff on a loaner or rental basis. Sure I can do...

digi reference monitors; worth the money?

I will be looking for some new reference monitors in the $3k-4k range and was wondering if the digi ones are worth it. They certainly look good. Currently I'm using a pair of mackie hr824 reference...

Re: Single Best Purchase You Made For Your Pro-Tools System In 2009 Was...

It'd have to be either my stereo pair of akg c414 x-bls, or my focusrite isa 828. I just ordered a i7 computer, but we'll have to see. I may get scared of performance, after all... I'm still using my...

Re: What difference will an outboard pre make?

All the difference in the world.

I own a Mindprint EWnvoice and it's great for the money, and the comp and eq sound really nice and smooth.

Re: Need a sampler

These samples are random percussion - doors closing, footsteps, hands clapping etc. I'm working on a video for a real estate friend and we're doing the percussion in "sounds of real estate" [not my...

Need a sampler

I've recorded some samples and would like to trigger them via midi - anything free or cheap on the market? Most of my work is rock bands so this is a new thing for me.

Lightbulb Legacy interfaces - are they worth investing in?

I'm about to purchase a Protools HD system and can only afford one interface for it, but wouldn't mind having more inputs available. Is it, in your opinion, worth picking up an 888/24 or 1622 and...

When I'm bouncing, none of the meters/faders/auxs show any activity, though I know they are working. Any way to turn them on?

Re: Why not FIREWIRE - Mbox 2 Micro

Because this is basically a dongle with a headphone out jack, not an audio interface. It does little more than allow protools to run.

Re: sync issues with Pro Tools 7

try setting the roland's clock to external, and turning on midi beat clock in protools for the output that goes to the roland.

I recently got a Focusrite Liquidmix and it made my life soooo much easier. Wicked sounding plugins, easy to use - between that and my Waves R-series I'm a happy man. So now I want better preamps.
