I'll check on the disk cache, I thought I set it much larger than default years back.
After you mentioned the SATA III PCIe Card, I looked into these OWC
Accelsior PCIe Cards, but they don't...

The last OS X that you can use without going to a metal Video Card is 10.8.3
The current video card is a ATI Radeon HD 5870.

You’re welcome. FYI also the reg card was missing. Make sure you keep the box and have receipt available if you need to contact support to register it.

I double checked my iLok and I do have the DigiI/O asset. Thanks for trying. It would have been the obvious solution, but 12.6.1 in Yosemite was running great. I have a case opened to Tech Support....

OK, before you start reinstalling everything, try a new test session and see what happens. You are on Moutain Lion, correct. PT 10 does not run on Mavericks.

I would try reseating the HDX Card first. Making sure all connections are good. If you still have problems, then Call Avid. It's a new card right?

Yamaha just bought Line 6. I hope that's the case for POD Farm. FYI it's still not Echo Farm. There was a more classic sound and ease in using Echo Farm.

Never gonna happen. The plugin is owned by Line 6. Now Yamaha just bought them. So who knows if even their very own Pod Farm get an AAX update now.
