Well, they just came out with 2021.3 which supposedly fixes this. I am in the middle of a project, so I won't be able to try to new version for a couple days.

As far as I know, that's how Avid HD hardware (HDX, HD Native, and I think even TDM) has always worked. There was never a multi client driver, that I can recall, that would let you pipe system audio...

If the bug is automation not following when fades are dragged, it's worse not better. I was getting around this on 2020.11 by trimming fades rather than dragging them, which seemed to work properly....

They've been working great for me. I can run large sessions off of them without using Disk Cache, if needed. But I usually keep Disk Cache on unless I need to free up RAM for some reason.

I just did it for HD Native TB on Mojave and it was painless. Took 2-3 minutes and required a shutdown, 5 second wait, then a startup. Everything is working fine so far.
