Yeah it’s a shame you can’t use the stereo aux input in conjunction with the three mic/line inputs. Even if you didn’t have control via a pot on the front, it would be handy to have the extra inputs...

That’s not an issue.

FW400-FW800 cable works fine. If the machine is TB only, add the required adapter/s.

Again, the version of Mac OS installed is the main issue.

I don’t know a great deal about video. It’s not really my field, so can’t really comment on HDMI splitters.

The biggest tip I can give you is either buy the L Sled adapter to mount a camera...

Is it a 32 channel polywav file? If so, I agree, split it up into seperate tracks and then import. Or, import and consolidate each channel and then delete the polywav from the session.

Catalina, not Cantelina.

And yes, you can run Catalina on a MP 7,1. It will come with Big Sur and you can roll it back to Catalina yourself. Make a bootable Catalina drive and away you go....

No. It will not affect sound quality at all.

Yes and no.

Yes it can detect the hits. No it might not be as good as a dedicated drum replacement plugin.

Are you working with multitracks of each hit? If so, it should do a pretty good job....
