Hardware insert in Pro Tools

I have a ProTools using an UA Apollo with hardware inserts. Works fine when working on a session, but when I bounce the track I get no signal at all (just silence). Any idea?

The very last fade in my session did not render when I bounced offline. I had to bounce in real time. Is there something I am missing ?

Anyway why is copying and pasting gain automation such a pain in the *** in Pro Tools ? I mean why can't it just paste the copied automation...

No, the gain is not bypassed.
