Re: Nomad Factory repeatable crash (HDX only?)

I'm on a vanilla system and have the same problem as the OP. In my case, ECHOES was the culprit.

Re: Can you quantize sustain pedal data?

It will snap to the grid in the MIDI editor. I've never tried to do it globally.

Re: Pan Automation Bug 11.02

I just started using PT11 (11.1.2) and this bug still exists. The above fix works.

Re: Can't create a new session

PT is likely not seeing your audio interface. Start PT while pressing the "n" key and select your interface. This has worked for me.

Re: Help for 2 shortcuts

1. Ctrl +/- (uses nudge amount)

2. Ctrl-E (See Zoom Toggle preferences)

I'm on a Mac. I don't know the Windows equivalents.

Re: Macro Utlity conundrum

I've seen recommendations for Keyboard Maestro (http://www.keyboardmaestro.com/main/). Thinking of looking into it myself.

Re: Gated Drums "The Phil Collins Gated Drums"

If I might add to crizdee's suggestion - If you sidechain the gate with the signal going to the reverb (i.e. use the kick to trigger the gate on the kick reverb) you'll have a cleaner trigger and...

Re: is there a way to get rid of elastic audio warble sound.

If you haven't already, try all algorithms. Pay no attention to what they're called. Sometimes Polyphonic works better on a rhythm source, etc.

Re: Real Time properties not working

This happens to me now and then. If I close and re-open the session it works. Nuisance.

Re: Stutter effect popping problem

@Danny;

I think musicman is on the money with his assessment.

When I run into this, here's what I do:

1) Use the Object Grabber to select all the pieces.
2) Set your nudge value to 1 or 2...

Re: Printed click is off the grid???

fwiw, I tried this on my rig. Consistently only about 60 samples late to the grid, including the first one. Tried at two different buffer sizes, and with and without ADC. Always the same results....

Re: Gradually Introduce a Low Pass Filter

I often use Frohmage (https://www.ohmforce.com/ViewProduct.do?p=Frohmage). Freebie.

Re: Is it possible to combine key commands.

I use it all the time. One thing I really like is that I can trigger key commands via MIDI. I use a Novation Zero SLMkII, and I can fire multiple commands with the push of a button.

Re: Is it possible to combine key commands.

+1 on Quick Keys (http://startly.com/)

System Requirements say not Lion or Mountain Lion compatible, but I (and many others) are using it without any issues.

Re: Subgroups for a piano or strings?

Possibly about parallel processing. Some engineers mix a compressed track with an uncompressed one. Different quality than a single compressed track.

Re: Bouncing Multiple AUX tracks

It depends on what you would like to accomplish. Normally, there's no real need to do this unless you're trying to save CPU usage, or just want to set your sounds in stone.

Re: Bouncing Multiple AUX tracks

Only if you want them mixed with the aux tracks. Otherwise, use a separate bus to bounce the instrument.
