Dude it just works, exactly like I just said. Hook it up, and boom it works. If you don't believe me try it yourself. Just make sure no firewire or other digital connections are going into the 002.

1) Run latest Avid firewire driver installer for 002/003, 11.x.

2) Run PT 8.0.5 installer.

I found that I can install the version 11 drivers and use 002 with the CoreAudio apps. Then if I go to terminal and use launchctl to remove com.Avid.* then power cycle the 002, I can open PT 8.0.5...

So this is a tricky one. I have gotten it to work but only using a third-party USB MIDI driver. I had to delete the avid ones. CoreAudio does not work either, but Pro Tools will run and work fine.

OK, now it's not working again. Same problem as before: power on the Digi 002 Rack. Launch Digi CoreAudio Manager. It sees the 002 rack just fine. Connects just fine. Open the Sound control panel....
