That is a feature I liked about Waves is that it would expire every three months and you would resync the licenses. If my iLok was stolen or broke then within three months I would have my licenses...

I have had this issue a few times also since upgrading to 8.0.3. Any time ProTools quits unexpectedly or needs to be forced to close the 003 requires a cold poweroff.

I had that issue after the first attempt but rebooting in safe mode and removing the files then rebooting and reinstalling it worked fine. So far it is working well but I have not had time to do...

That happened to me on first install. DO NOT reboot as it will kernel panic. If you can restart the installer.

I rebooted, had to boot in safe mode, remove the digi folders and kernal files then...

Yes, I downloaded my 8.0 with the amnesty upgrade and then applied the 8.0.3 patch after the install.

I booted up in safe mode, removed the install directories and Digi libraries then rebooted. I reinstalled the 8.0 and then 8.0.3 on top of that and then ran it without a problem. I haven't tested...
