Re: AES Update for Pro Tools 2019

And still no source-destination editing and being able to run multiple instances of Protools at the same time, and copy clips from one session to another?

Connections in LA (i.e. going on tour)

Hey guys...

Re: Heat + Complete Plugin Bundle for all subscribers

The blessing of being able to turn out many more great mixes for years before the discounted Heat on all Protools systems was available.

But now you better start working even harder cause now...

Re: Heat + Complete Plugin Bundle for all subscribers

Well, since they already include the Complete Plugin Bundle with all Ultimate perpetual licenses anyway, all you're really missing out on is Heat.

Re: Avid NEW audio solutions?

You win the internet for the day.

Look cool, but I mean I get tired of having to deal with the iPad BS. Can't they just build in a DVI or HDMI interface so we can use regular computer monitors?...

Re: PIA New Focusrite Pligin looks A+

Well...when I went to log in to my Focusrite account to get my bx_Focusrite SC voucher code, I noticed that I had not just one, but four free codes, one each for my Red 8Pre, my Clarett 4Pre and both...

Re: PIA New Focusrite Pligin looks A+

Wow...just got an email from Focusrite. They are including this new Focusrite plugin as part of the software bundle for all Red interface owners. Which is great because it's normally $349. Guess I'll...

Re: Uggg...rebuilding my system from scratch

I went to college at the University of Tulsa. We had a whole marching band show designed around Living on Tulsa Time and Take Me Back to Tulsa. So glad I have never had to play those songs since.

Re: Uggg...rebuilding my system from scratch

Yep, I’ll definitely be slimming down some of my unused plugins, mostly the free ones that aren’t as stable. But I do use stuff from Mercury and Slate and Avid bundles, plus Metric Halo, iZotope...

Re: Uggg...rebuilding my system from scratch

We’re at the very end of the phone line system. Miles away from the nearest fiber link. No cable TV system out here. Unfortunately no company will invest in the infrastructure to get a high bandwidth...

My Lenovo P50 with Windows 10 Pro has a Thunderbolt 3 port and the Intel Alpine Ridge Thunderbolt Controller, and works wonderfully with the HD Native Thunderbolt box. I use the Apple TB3 to TB2...

Re: 2019.6?

Isn't the big benefit to Heat that it takes up much less CPU resources than then other plugins because it's built right into the Protools mixer itself? (Or maybe rather that you've already lost that...

Re: 2019.6?

I think they are moving towards subscription for vanilla, and perpetual for Ultimate.

Re: ProTools price adjustments from July 1st.

This is dumb. Really, really dumb.

Does Avid really think this is worth it after the much delayed 2019 release, and then the fact that the voice count increase doesn't even work on their own...

Re: What smaller(er) control surface for PT19?

Why not an Artists Mix? You can find used ones for $400-$600 these days and they work great with Protools with all the features (except a transport).

Re: New Mac Pro

Does Avid even support HDX6 systems? I thought they maxed out at 3 HDX cards.

6 would be...384 inputs and 1,536 voice (2,304 if they ever get that voice increase working on the HDX cards).

Re: How do you guys get better at Protools?

Avid should make their certification tests free, the way Audinate does with their Dante Certifications.

And $1,200 for a certification course is rediculous. They should be $50 per day at most....
