I understand your problem now. If your using another daw with the omni, its not going to work with the pt11 Core Audio driver in El Capitan. Core Audio has been broken for years...

Delete the Avid Core Audio driver from Library>Audio>Plugins>Hal

That way the computer won't hang when you try to shutdown or restart. Just buy a Spidf optical cable if you want to playback audio...

Sounds 100 percent better i could pick it in a blind test 100 times out of 100. I could maybe record the difference so you guys can hear it but it may be harder to pick up if not in person listening...

yes. definetly upsampling the audio as youtube audio should only be 44.1 or 48k.

as to why it sounds better, i'm still not sure.
