yeah i usually don't listen to workers at music stores but I did take what he said into consideration cause of things I have been noticing the trend with the mboxes

The reason why I ask is because I see that the mbox3 mini is damn near discontinued and the mbox3 (usb version) had a price drop from $500 to $300.

Just wondering if there was any word of new...

The firewire cord i dont think is the problem but who knows at this point....im trying to get the right memory but since everything didnt work and i tried to run the software with just the 4GB ram...

I did that and it didn't work. The only choice I have (which is not a choice cause it a fixed box) is the 003 and when I click ok the error dialog box disappears and appears again saying the same...

Now if I use a mbox2 (usb) the audio runs fine....no distortion or anything.....that is what I don't understand? But when I use the DIGI003 (firewire) that is when the distortion kicks in....
