Yes. Hold down 3&2 or 6&4 while booting. Apple says so.

LightPeak will be an interface to drives, monitors, speakers and computers so the drive interface is proper.

You are overlooking the copper to light and light to copper convertor. That conversion may make the path slower.

A disk drive that is capable of 125 MB/sec will transfer at that speed no matter...
