From what I see, the loc reference is already absolute but with the same result.
Don't worry about it, I'll make do with setting a little buffer zone in between the new measure and the original...

How did you get that "loose section" between your two tempo regions? Over here, the tempos are knocking right up against each other, so that the "first tempo region" is what becomes adjusted to...

In fact, it seems like I can't keep my original tempo at 100 bpm but at 105.32 in order to arrive at the "new start" (which is measure 12 by the way) when I want.

Yeah, but it's messin with the tempos. Identify beat altered the original tempo to adjust.
I have a marker already at the exact location. Can't I just say "start new beat/bar system here?
