It's not a plug in issue. Many of the tracks don't have plugins where the noise is present. Even upon importing session data- it still persists. I may have to run extensive tests to pin point it....

The latest version of the dolby media media averages audio levels in places where dialog is present (dialog intelligence). As long as the quiet parts don't have dialog, this would work..

Soundthinker, the issue was 'average peaks' and what is meant by the definition, not instantaneous peaks. If it was instantaneous peaks, then yes -17 is way too low..
