the best for retina display option is selected. Any other ideas? I noticed when I was installing plugins the text on the installers was blurry as well. So its definitely not program specific.

Exactly, I was planning on trying mac to see if its more stable than PC with pro tools. I like the SD card idea for session data. The read/write performance is fast enough?

Windows on the mac would be interesting/familiar and thanks for the tip about the partition. I would prefer to keep sessions on my external for ease of moving them around but I suppose its not hard...

I figured the pop filter was a given. Should have mentioned that I guess. I even tried angling the pop filter down a bit to direct the air towards the floor and the mic off axis away from the singer...
