Best Quicktime parameters

We work closely with a video production house and recently some of the Quicktime movies we've been given have caused us trouble. Trouble being slowing the session down, jerkyness, stuff like that.

Right now my studio is using outboard SCSI drives connected directly to our Mac G5. These are our primary recording drives. I was wondering what other people are using these days....

As far as the error message...my boss can't remember. Too busy trying to get the system running again. The only thing I remember is "DAE" which probably doesnt help.

Jim,

Whenever i try to add the sound file to the movie, it always adds the sound to the end. I've tried messing with the selection tools but to no avail. Any thoughts?

Splitting stereo regions in region window

I recently upgraded to Pro Tools 8. One thing I have noticed is that the little arrow(i can't remember what it's called) next to stereo files in the region list, is not there anymore....
