Clicking makes me think it could be interference possibly on the mains, or a level on the 11R on maximum, pretty sure Chris will be along and will give you more info. Does the 11R have the latest...

Shouldn't be any noise, the desk will see a signal from the 11R but there should not be any noise. Have you tried using the ground lift on the back of the 11R?, Tried different channels or tried...

I believe the expansion pack ships with a boost so if you do decide to slip a midi foot controller in, you can use that in stomp mode. I use the Behringer FCB1010 foot controller, lower 5...

Sorry gotta disagree, the only thing the 11R is missing is a dedicated foot controller, last thing I need are more reasons to spend money, my GAS is bad enough already!! :D
