Re: Structure playing ESX problems

This was not a problem with the Structure Beta. Must be some kind of regression bug. Hello Digi are you there?

Is there any reason why the Windows version will not play back EXS files? Is EXS for Structure on Mac OS X only?

In Windows XP I can...

Re: Best Midi Keyboard controller for PT and Garage Band

I think the cheaper M-Audio keyboard keys have horrible action. Especially when doing midi work with velocities. Edirol keyboards have good action I have noticed.

Re: Pro tools HD II and LOgic Pro 7x

Yes Logic has some problems. But it can have 255 stereo tracks. I still am upset with the track limitations in all versions of Pro Tools. I don't understand why there are these limitations. I want to...

Re: Audio restoration....

I find Cool Edit Pro (older Windows app) has amazing filters and scientific tools for this sort of thing.

Re: 16 bit or 24 bit

This is the bit depth. Record and edit in 24bit, then go down to 16bit as needed at the very end. There is much more audio information retained in 24bit. It takes more hard disc space to record...

Re: combine two mono files into one stereo file

Ah! Great this works. This method wasn't working with the mono tracks I had before (maybe b/c of different inserts and such?), but using just bare mono audio tracks works. Thanks!

Re: combine two mono files into one stereo file

Okay yeah I know about that. That still has to process over time to complete. I assume then there is no quick way to just join two mono files together to stereo, inside a session. Hmmm...

Re: BOUNCE TO DISK

I have found that in Logic and other programs that the offline bounce is much more accurate and uses less CPU. Doing a realtime bounce takes more resources as everything has to render and playback.

Re: Moving from PC to Mac.. is this mac good for protools?

No. G5 is the name of the processor in a Powermac G5 or iMac G5.

Re: BOUNCE TO DISK

Yes this is greatly needed, I agree. I have been recording audio in Pro Tools then using Audacity or Logic to make a quick bounce (off line) of the session.

combine two mono files into one stereo file [solved]

I see that Pro Tools can strip a stereo file into two mono files. But what about the other way around? I would like to take two mono files and have them join to a stereo file (without bouncing to...

Re: Can\'t open SD2 files in Pro Tools

Are you trying to open the files in OS X or Windows? Windows cannot read SD2 files.

Try opening them in Mac with VLC. Otherwise, you might have to copy them from the CDs again. Could be a bad copy.

Re: pt 7.3 & \"send to sibelius\" command

This 'feature' just spits out a midi file. So unless your midi in pro tools is 100% accurate and neat, it will be complete gibberish when opened in Sibelius or Finale.

Contact an M-Audio tech support person and see if they know of this issue, perhaps. They have phone numbers listed.

Re: Zero velocity?

Dragging the velocity slider down as far as it will go goes to 1. And in the Event List if you type in a 0, it pops an error message:
